You would not believe me if I told you how much fun I had at this tourney, or how much I learned. But a picture is worth a thousand words! And there are a lot of pictures in this slideshow. 😉

  4. So if a picture’s worth a thousand words and there’s 70-ish pictures in your slide show… then that means you just wrote a decent-sized NaNoWriMo novel.

What song is that? Is it Brian Doersksen per chance?

  8. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment on my blog, Grace. I’m going to respond to it here, on this incredibly beautiful new blog of yours. 😉 Your comment made my day as well, and I hope this one brightens yours.

I too desire to write onto the hearts of others, and to give my readers glimpses of the heart of God. Writing is a beautiful thing, and I want to use it in a way that will honor my Creator. Reading your poems and other writing as you’ve grown and matured has been wonderful. It’s been an honor to know you.

I don’t do NCFCA, but I know several people who do and I enjoy hearing about it. I got involved in community speaking this fall, and I absolutely love it. Communicating is wonderful, and communicating for Jesus is even better.

I’m currently working my way through completing the main types of speeches. So far I’ve done expository & impromptu (I thought I had done more, but apparently I haven’t), but I’m familiar with most of the others. I have to come up with an extemporaneous speech next, so that should be fun. What is your favorite type of speech? It’s really hard for me to choose, but interpretation would probably rank pretty high.

I don’t know if you ever got my email about switching email addresses, but I know we kind of stopped emailing way back when. If you want to keep up correspondence, you can always email me. You should see my current address on this comment. I would gladly welcome an email from you any time.

Well, sorry about the length of this comment, but I thought you’d enjoy it. 🙂 It was neat to ramble a bit, especially about public speaking. Hope you have a great day!
