Soliloquize: thanksgiving

thank you for my tattle-tale heart
colors that live in leaves (i wonder… were the leaves were meant to encase the colors, like bodies live to house our souls?)
sparkle skyscrapers dust the fairytale clouds
black and white
music that expands my soul with pain
wizened brick walls shivering in anticipation
motherly wind that wrapsenfoldswarms
vagueness is silver written on white
bouncy recoil -like sitting on Wonderland toadstools- of computer keys
waltzing out to the mailbox
eating a crunchy leaf with my boot-toe
hugs and hugs (you don’t know how much i love you) and hugs
blasting sigh of the sunset
light we think is trapped, but no
gingerly tiptoeing around wrinkle-nose seaweed
leaning into the beautiful world
throwing myself across the sand
spherical notes (did that just come out of my mouth?)
eternity in a polka-dot
flinging joy

  1. I like this. All of it.
Especially “eating a crunchy leaf with my boot-toe” and the ones after it… and before it and…. ;) =)

  2. Mmm, yes, there’s beauty all around us that we so, so often miss and never appreciate. Love the way you put things!
